We’re Shannon and Brian, the parents behind Parent Samurai.

Besides parenting two teens of our own, Samurai Mom is a middle school teacher with 20 years of experience teaching kindergarten through college. Samurai Dad is a project manager who leads global teams of culturally diverse people, personalities and experiences. Samurai Dad has volunteered in a variety of youth programs to support our teens.

Parenting teens takes GRIT. We started Parent Samurai to share strategies and perspectives that have worked for us.
